Social media offers many advantages as a forum to promote a business and communicate its ethos and objectives as well as the strengths and advantages of its products and services.

However reputations can be damaged by thoughtless use of social media, particularly for customer interaction.  Even the activities of employees outside of work can impact on the reputation of the organisation when played out on social media.

This Policy and Guidelines set standards for the use of social media in and out of work to help protect the organisation.
